Scarlet Seamstress : Dryad Tea

Dryad Tea has been around since 2012 and is based in Colorado. They are big on TTRPG and Fantasy themes and also see tea related pottery.

The tea itself is a very pretty red color. It also has a very interesting taste profile. In it’s dry form, the spearmint smell is very overpowering, but in liquid, I can barely taste the mint. This is honestly, one of the few teas that I started and finished while it was still hot. This is a tea that I will definitely be getting more of.

This is available at :https://dryadtea.com/products/scarlet-seamstress?_pos=1&_sid=83d9b0051&_ss=r&variant=33181010886791. It is available in a sample size if you wish to try it out before committing to one of the larger ounce sizes. It is also available by the pound.

Black Chocolate Black Tea : Spice & Tea Exchange

If you’re looking for a smooth, black tea. This is a good choice.

This is another one by the Spice and Tea Exchange that is available by the ounce in either a pouch or a tin. https://www.spiceandtea.com/Black-Chocolate-Tea

While it has a smooth taste, the flavor profile reminds me of the Sun Tea I used to drink in my childhood when it didn’t have the right about of sugar in it. I will be honest though, most black teas remind me of Sun Tea. The black tea taste is very strong when compared to the chocolate notes of this tea.

Blood Orange Smoothie Herbal Tea : Spice & Tea Exchange

Despite how the package recommended I make this, I just used hot water.

I’m not a big fan of most rooibos teas. This one, however, I really do enjoy. If you’re looking for a tea with a subtle taste, I would definitely recommend this one.

In water, it reminds me of a dessert tea, but one that can be had at any time of day.

If you wish to purchase some for yourself, it can be found here : https://www.spiceandtea.com/Blood-Orange-Smoothie-Herbal-Tea.

It can be purchased by the ounce in either a pouch or a tin. It can also be purchased in their stores if you happen to have one nearby.

Mint Cocoa Drip : UmliciousMe Tea

Ingredients: Black tea blend, Peppermint Tea, Cacao Pieces

available for purchase at https://umliciousme.com/. It retails for $16.00. They also have coffee and coffee alternative options.

My first impressions are that it smells like mint hot chocolate.

This is a mint tea, but not in an overpowering mint taste way. I can taste the black tea and the cacao. I drink it without anything additional, but this would be a good one to add a splash of milk or cream too. This is one that I will drink again,

Vanilla Honeybush: Atlas Tea Club

Ingredients: honeybush, rooibos, flavor, vanilla pieces

The loose-leaf tea comes from the Atlas Tea Club. It is their South Africa Tea. It is a semi-sweet tea and, I think, a good mood booster. It is a non-caffeinated tea.

Atlas Tea Club is a tea subscription service. The send you teas from around the world, but on what plan you choose and what, if any, preferences you inform them off. I don’t believe that there is a way to buy the tea individually. If you are interested in checking them out for yourselves, the link to their site is : https://atlascoffeeclub.com/pages/premium-loose-leaf-tea. The also have a coffee option.

Cookie Tea : Almond Cookie Herbal

This is an interesting one. I haven’t even tasted it yet, but it smells like baking season and has a 10 minute steeping time.

Ingredients: Apple pieces, almonds, cinnamon pieces, beetroot, flavoring. This does contain nuts.

This is a loose-leaf tea.

These can be purchased at www.cookietea.com

Ok, now that its has time to steep.

This tastes like a liquid almond liquid cookie. The beetroot turns the tea pink, but does not affect the taste of the tea at all. This is a somewhat sweet tea, but does not contain any caffinee

English Breakfast – Ahmad Tea

Good morning, how are you today?

I opted for an old favorite this morning. This is a good tea when you have a lot of things are your mind and need a moment of mental silence.

I’ve had a few English Breakfast Blends over the years. This particular one is from Ahmad Tea of London. It is available as part of a set of teas from Lion Brand Yarns or individually from http://www.ahmadtea.com

It’s a black tea blend that can be drank with or without milk. I prefer it without milk.

Honeybush, Mandarin and Orange – Twining’s Brand

Ingredients: Honeybush, Natural Orange and Mandarin Flavors with other natural flavors

Thoughts: When steeping, this is defiantly one of those tea that gets stronger the longer it steeps. The smell reminds me of those orange rings you can get at the convenient store. This is defiantly a nostalgia invoking tea, which is typical of most Twinning’s Tea. It even tastes a little like those rings.

I drank this without milk or sugar, but its defiantly one I will be having again,

Wild Strawberry – Davidson’s Organics Brand

Ingredients: Organic Black Tea, natural flavors and organic dried strawberry.

Thoughts: So right out of the box, there is a strong strawberry smell. If you’ve ever been in a wild strawberry field, you know the one that I am talking about. However, once its been steeped, that smell does go away. Taste wise, it’s about what one would expect a raw, wild strawberry to taste. Its not sugary sweet the way most store-bought strawberries are, as those are raised to have maximum sweetness, where as wild ones are left to grow as they will.

Also, as the tea cools, the black tea taste defiantly becomes more prevalent.
